Folders Become Programs
Building a sample kit by hand is the slowest part of every drum machine. DMC60 ends it. Point it at a folder and get a playable program back.
Three Creation Modes
DMC60 can create programs from folders in three different ways, depending on how your samples are organized:
Build one program from all samples in a single folder. Files are sorted naturally and placed in pad order.
Every subfolder becomes its own .dmcpgm program. Useful for sample packs organized by kit.
Walk the entire folder tree. Every leaf folder containing audio becomes a separate program. Convert entire libraries in one pass.
Supported Formats
Auto-Split
If a folder contains more than 128 samples, DMC60 automatically splits them across multiple programs. No manual intervention needed — just point and go.
Drag & Drop
Drop a folder directly onto any pad and DMC60 fills the pads from that point forward. The same engine powers both the menu-based creation and drag-drop workflows.
- 1. Drag a folder onto pad A1
- 2. Samples fill A1–A16, then B1–B16, etc.
- 3. Play immediately — no save step required
Program Files
Programs are saved as .dmcpgm files containing all samples and parameters. These are self-contained — move them anywhere and they'll load with all their sounds.
Preset Browser
Browse and load programs from the built-in preset browser. Search by name or filter by category. User presets and factory presets are organized separately.
